Mission
The mission of Society Hill Dermatology is to provide excellent dermatologic care for both the adult and pediatric patient. The highly qualified professional and support staff at Society Hill Dermatology treat each patient with respect and dignity. Patient confidentiality is of utmost importance in this professional environment.
Dermatologic diseases and concerns are wide-ranging and diverse. All dermatologic issues, from those pertaining to skin cancer, infections, rashes or cosmetic enhancements are treated in a compassionate, caring manner. The specific concerns of each individual are listened to carefully. A treatment plan is then personalized for each individual’s needs. The excellence of Dr. Susan Taylor and Society Hill Dermatology has been recognized in Philadelphia Magazine Top Doctors editions.

Professional Staff
Susan C. Taylor, MD, Director is Board Certified in both Dermatology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Taylor is Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University and attending physician at both Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia and St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center, New York. She received her medical degree from Harvard University.
Julie Carson, Physician Assistant received a B.S. Degree in Exercise & Sports Science from Colorado State University. She graduated from the Duke University Physician Assistant Program with a Master of Health Science in 2000. Mrs. Carson is a certified Physician Assistant and a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants. Committed to all areas of dermatology, she has special interest in skin cancer screening, acne treatment and surgical removal of skin cancers and moles.
Viviane Aires, Esthetician and Skin Care Consultant, Viviane Aires's clean and fresh style reflects her personal philosophy that true beauty comes first from within. She excels at defining a person's specific skin conditions, recommending customized facial treatments, and anticipating short and log-term future skin care needs. By administering meticulous skin treatments and well-defined home regimens, Viviane helps each client achieve dramatic results in producing healthy and beautiful skin.
Viviane has honored the Ritz-Carlton in Philadelphia with her skills where she received the "Best Customer Service Award". Additionally, she has traveled nationally as a trainer and consultant for prestige skin care and specialty treatments.
Viviane is a graduate of LT International Beauty School in Philadelphia, has worked as a professional esthetician since 2002, and has completed numerous continuing education courses at the International Dermal Institute including:

- Aging Skin
- Exfoliation Techniques
- Analysis of Treatment of Skin Color and Pigmentation
Originally from Bahia, Brazil, Viviane is truly committed and passionate about all aspects of skincare and health. She specializes in a variety of therapeutic services including:

- Waxing
Candrice R. Heath, MD Dr. Candrice R. Heath joined Society Hill Dermatology in July 2007 as the Clinical Research Fellow. After graduating with an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, she completed training in Pediatrics at Emory University. During her medical training, she had a special concentration in adult and pediatric dermatology. She is the author of various medical journal articles and textbook chapters.
Dr. Heath sees all of the research study patients as well as regular adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Taylor is delighted that Dr. Heath has joined Society Hill Dermatology and together with Julie Carson, Physician Assistant, they can serve the dermatologic needs of the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
